New to AudioWaves is ASW, Accurate Sound Wave, a German manufacturer of fine loudspeakers. The Genius 100 is an excellent 2 way monitor with a 5.2" carbon-fiber cone woofer and a 1" fabric-dome tweeter. The Stereophile review praised its "voluptuous, uncolored, extremely detailed midrange." Internal wiring is high quality silver, unique for a speaker at any price. Highs are extended and clean, and the bass is excellent. Wood cabinets are available in a variety of finishes, and the fit and finish is top notch. Also in the Genius line are the 300 and 400 floorstanders, and the 200 center channel and the AS 1 subwoofer. Other ASW lines include the Cantius and the Opus, featuring excellent build quality and also available in many fine wood finishes.
