Seen a Hi-Fi + lately? The issue 177 cover features a Red Color Bookshelf speaker from Triangle. Alan Sircom says of the Color Bookshelf: "expansive, deep soundstage...concentrates on getting the midrange right...It's so open and natural sounding." The bass is "surprisingly deep for the box size... The Color speakers have 'the future' written all over them." Check the review here. At home with a good all in one, or modest integrated amp, the Color Bookshelf will step up to higher quality amplification, and goes especially well with lower powered tube amps. Good sensitivity, 90 db, and a 6 ohm load make this gem easy to drive. The doped paper mid/bass drive is typical Triangle fast, and the titanium dome tweeter is well extended. This 2 way acts as a point source and disappears into a deep soundstage. What Hi-Fi is impressed with their "exemplary detail recovery" and "excellent timing..and dynamics". 5 stars! Read the review. Sam Tellig of Stereophile is having fun with his pair. Match these little beauties with a Jolida FX 10 Tube Amp and have some fun of your own! The Color Line also has the Color Floorstander, and the Color Center. All come in Black, Red, and White Gloss lacquer finishes.
