REGA's new P3-24 comes with the new RB301 tonearm with 3 point mounting and the same cables as the RB700, an improved plinth, and 24 volt motor which can accept the TT PSU outboard power supply. Another winner from Rega. The Apollo CD player uses a new operating system with 20 mb of memory with 32 bit digital signal processing capacity to give the best sound possible from CD, and at the very affordable price of $1195. VINCENT. High quality tube components from this German manufacturer include the very highly reviewed SV-236 Class A 100 watt Hybrid Integrated Amp and companion CD-S6 Tube HDCD CD Player. Vincent does things a little different: defeatable tone controls on the SV-236 and their other Integrated Amps and PreAmps, and HDCD and variable outputs on many of their CD Players, including the CD-S6. The SV-236 also has a metal remote, preamp output, and two sets of speaker binding posts. Robert Harley of The Absolute Sound said this was the greatest value at CES 2006, and Barry Willis of TAS said in his glowing review, "A beauty...a winner..." and was impressed by "its sheer effortless power and musicality." It is also an Absolute Sound Editor's Choice Award winner. At 42 pounds the SV-236 is a big amp with a big sound and plenty of finesse. The new SV-226 MK II 100 watt Hybrid Integrated Amp is a steal at $1499 retail! Highly recommended in the April 2008 Playback web magazine for its build and parts quality and of course its exceptional sound. PATHOS has upgraded the Classic One mk II to the Classic One mk III. It has a new volume control, new transformer and new binding posts. Sounds like the mk II, only better. HEGEL utilizes its patented Sound Engine Technology to do "dynamic real-time cancelling of error in the system." The "Sound Engine Technology" utilizes a "threshold detector," which identifies, calculates, and eliminates error in the playback chain. This translates to a more transparent sound to the source.
